CAR CME/CPD Working Group
The CME/CPD Working Group mandate is to oversee the planning, development and delivery of high quality CME/CPD programs to CAR members, imaging professionals and other related health care professionals.
- Plan and conduct high quality CME programs which relate to the learning needs of imaging professionals.
- Assist in the transmission of new knowledge and skills which are of proven value.
- Develop and utilize systematic approaches for program development, teaching, learning and evaluation which will optimize the effectiveness and utilization of diagnostic and interventional imaging.
- Encourage and support CPD among imaging professionals.
- Develop and conduct an educational research program which will advance the present state of knowledge regarding the continuing education of imaging.
- Identify and define resource requirements.
- The Working Group will work under the principles of the CanMEDS collaborator role.
The composition of the Working Group should answer different perspectives such as imaging systems and modalities, language, gender, geographical distribution and academic versus non academic, remote and rural environment of practice and expertise in adult education.
