the Canadian Radiological Foundation

Ian Hammond, MD, FRCPC, FACR
May 2015

The 2015 Joint Congress on Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences is only a few days away and I hope you are as excited as I am! The Congress presents a unique opportunity for members of the medical imaging community to meet and exchange ideas and experiences and I look forward to seeing you there, as the Canadian Radiological Foundation (CRF) is involved in several ways.

The CRF at the 2015 Joint Congress

Roentgen Ramble

As the President of the CRF, I am particularly pleased to invite you to participate in the Roentgen Ramble, a fundraising walk/run event co-sponsored by the CRF and the CAMRT Foundation, which will be held in Montreal on Saturday, May 30 (7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.). Funds raised by radiologist participants will benefit the CRF so join us for fun and fresh air while helping us raise much needed funds that enable us to pursue our mission of advancing the field of radiology in Canada through research and education! All participants who raise $100.00 will receive a Roentgen Ramble t-shirt and a prize will be awarded to the individual who raises the most money. Please also note that all pledges of $10.00 or more may receive an income tax receipt if requested. Click here to download your pledge form and for joining instructions.

2015 Annual General Meetings of the CAR and the CRF

The Annual General Meetings (AGM) of members of the Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR) and the CRF will take place on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in Room 520BE of the Palais des congrès de Montréal. Only full members in good standing are entitled to vote at the AGM so be sure to join the CAR or renew your membership for 2015 today if you have not yet had the chance to do so. Please also note that members in good standing may view all the AGM documents electronically by accessing the reserved membership section of the CAR website with their user names and passwords.

CAR Annual Scientific Meeting Contests and Awards

In keeping with the CRF's mandate to promote radiology research, we are pleased to fund the prizes for the following CAR Annual Scientific Meeting contests:
